Work, relationships, and life's expectations can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from ourselves. Perhaps you're trying to keep everything together while quietly struggling inside, questioning your decisions, or wondering whether things could feel different.
Sometimes, we know something doesn't feel right but struggle to understand why. Other times, we may find ourselves facing the same challenges repeatedly, reacting in ways we don't quite understand, or feeling caught between what we want and what we think we should do.
Therapy offers a space to look beyond what's happening on the surface and explore what's underneath. Together, we'll work towards understanding your experiences, identifying patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and exploring how past experiences, beliefs, or expectations may be influencing the way you see yourself and navigate life. Through this process, you may begin to recognise things that were previously difficult to make sense of, consider new perspectives, and discover different ways of responding to the challenges you face.
You may be harder on yourself than you realise. There's room to see yourself differently.
I'll work alongside you to make sense of what you're going through. We might explore your thoughts and feelings, notice patterns that have been showing up in your life, or look at a situation from a different perspective. When it feels helpful, we can also explore possible ways forward and what might work for you.
I believe that you are the one living your life, and what feels right for you matters. While I may offer my thoughts and perspectives, I recognise that what I think is best may not necessarily be what you need or want for yourself. My role is to help you explore your experiences and options, so you can make decisions that feel right for you and your circumstances.
There's no single way to experience therapy, and you don't need to have everything figured out before coming in. We can start with whatever feels important to you, take things at your pace and work through them together, one step at a time.
Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, questions, and challenges. You might have a clear idea of what's been weighing on you, or you might simply know that something doesn't feel quite right.
Some of the areas I'm particularly interested in working with include:
Stress & Burnout
When the pressure to keep going leaves you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Therapy can help you explore what's contributing to the stress, recognise your limits, and understand what needs to change for your wellbeing.
Workplace Wellbeing
Navigating workplace expectations, challenging work environments, or the tension between meeting responsibilities and looking after yourself. Together, we can explore how these experiences affect you and consider ways to respond that better support your needs and wellbeing.
Personal Growth
Developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and what matters to you. This may involve exploring recurring patterns, making sense of difficult decisions, or understanding what's getting in the way of the changes you want to make.
Self-Worth
Exploring how you see and value yourself, particularly when self-doubt, comparison, or the expectations of others begin to shape how you feel about yourself. Therapy can help you examine these beliefs and develop a more balanced understanding of your worth.
These are some of my areas of interest, but they aren't the only things we can explore in therapy. You don't need to fit into a particular category or have a clearly defined problem to seek support. What matters is understanding what you're experiencing and working together towards what you hope to gain from therapy.
