Fantastic setting. Great variation in activities, food, learning and play. Management is excellent especially with their communication, has felt even more streamlined in recent months. Staff seem dedicated and bring a good overall energy.

Everyone is fantastic at the nursery- Hannah is exceptional. I know Ivy is always cared for and looked after. I am grateful she has had the experience of such a fab nursery. In addition, I really like that the kids are taken to the local park or library too. I do not believe this is something every nursery provides.

The Railway Children is such a special little nursery. Our daughter was only 8 months when she joined and after only a week of settling in sessions, she is such a happy baby.  The facilities are fresh and modern, the huge sand play area is great for sensory and exploration. The staff at this nursery are unbelievably kind and caring, they really make this nursery absolutely amazing!

Great nursery strongly recommend it as it is a wonderful place! Amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. We couldn’t ask for a better daycare. The teachers make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. The management is committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment. Such an incredible nursery. My son absolutely loves it and every single member of staff is wonderful. So professional, so caring and so fun. It's homely and very welcoming. The staff do brilliant activities and outings with the children. They've also been absolutely amazing with my son and his severe allergies and eczema. I couldn't ask for a better nursery.

We were extremely lucky to get a place at the ‘Railway Children’ upon their opening in Upminster, after leaving the whole nursery vetting process too late, which in hindsight worked out an absolute god sent. 

We viewed numerous other local nurseries, but from the off had such a positive, warm feeling from Abbie and Jessica after our first ‘open’ visit, following various positive reviews from friends who used the Gidea Park branch. Upon starting our little boy instantly took a liking to all staff and has transitioned from being handed over with open arms (due to not walking), to now running through the front door with open arms and a big smile to all of the staff each morning. 

From a progression standpoint, everyday he comes home from nursery with something new, whether that be an action or phrase and I really think cognitively this development wouldn’t have been so advanced if it wasn’t for the interaction with other children and the attentive staff. The dialogue between parent and staff is amazing whether that be person-to-person, whatsapp communication or via the blossom app – you really are a minute away from getting any kind of update.

Lastly, don’t be concerned by the lack of outside space… there is an amazing basement beach, lovely courtyard and the children are regularly (weather permitting) taken to the park/duck pond or even trips to the beach, with the open world always being a better experience.

Noah and Matilda are so happy and settled and we feel the care and learning environment you offer is of a high standard. As someone who works in childcare and education myself, I feel Railway Children is one of the best nurseries I have experienced and trust and support the staff implicitly.  Communication and children' s safety/wellbeing always feels like a priority and our children really have a strong attachment to some members of your team which we feel speaks volumes.
