We are a group of five high school students from St. Francis High School, Sacramento, who have always wanted to help those in the community around us.
As we brainstormed ideas, we quickly landed on child hospital patients as our target group because they are a group everyone can relate to by having a close friend, family member, or personal experience in the hospital. As the hospital can be lonely, boring, and cold at times when patients are most vulnerable, we knew we wanted to bring light into their lives by making a small, personal gift from our hearts to theirs.
By offering every patient a puzzle booklet, cozy blanket, and handwritten card in our "Care Bundles", we hope to join their fight and hold their hand along the way.
