Episode 1 - The Test

As their final exam, our group, the soon-to-be graduates of the School of Embers and Flame, were sent to a "haunted house" to dehaunt it. The house, we learned, belonged to a family named the Millers, who as we walked in we found to be deceased. The house was old and rotting. As we walked around the house, we saw a barrel with a gutter above it and a drain pipe running down. Athelia tried to climb up, and successfully, too, at the price of the drain pipe breaking. When she jumped down from the roof, into our awaiting arms, we decided to open the barrel. As we did so, a slime came out of it. As we battled it, Eandor remembered that slimes do not do well with fire. When we defeated the slime, we scoured the house more, and we saw a crack in the siding, and decided to look through it. When Eirk looked through it, he saw four figures, rotting hands came through the crack in the wall. They tried to grab Eirk, but he nimbly avoided it. We finally found a door. As we walked in, There were four pairs of dusty shoes at a shoe rack on the floor as we walked in, along with a dusty coat rack. As we walked into the kitchen, there came a ruckus from a cabinet and a barrel. When we opened them, we set hundreds of rats swarming about. After we had killed them, we looked all around the house trying to find anything harmful or useful, to no avail. We finally walked into the living room, where we found "Zombies and skeletons." One of them started to talk to us, and we figured out that they were not who we thought they were. They were our teachers! Athelia found a treasure chest with loot for the party, and we used it, Athelia got a bag of holding, Eirk got a returning shuriken, Eandor got a reloading quiver, [add other loot here] After severely injuring Eirk, one teacher, Mrs. Totter, tried to tell them not to hurt us so badly, but they snarled back at her. After Killing three of the "Teachers", who turned out to be Doppelgangers, a shape-shifting race, we found that they had killed our teachers they had posed as. We then learned of Bellock the Outcast, who after being expelled from the school had been seeking revenge. As we looked out of the window because the light was brighter than usual, we saw that the School of Embers and Flame was, ironically, engulfed in flames. We ran over as fast as we could, using a secret passage under the school. But, Alas, we could not make it, and the school burned down.

Episode 2 - The Chamber Under the Bakery

After the school had burned down, we were very sad that we had let it. But, we had to carry on. After the fight with the doppelgangers, we used the house as our base. Then, as Centise and Eandor stayed behind to guard the house, the rest of our heroes went into the village to find goods and weapons. As we walked through town, Ogosh led us to her dad's blacksmith shop. When we walked in, we received a warm welcome from Mr. Twip. He gave us each a weapon. Eirk got an Iron knuckle, Athelia got a beautiful crossbow with six arrows, [Add weapons received from Ogosh's Dad.] As we walked out, Athelia spotted someone she knew and despised. At a young age, Athelia was playing around the streets of this town, and accidentally knocked over her food cart. They have hated each other ever since. As we walked up to her the two instantly recognized each other. The lady realized who we were and showed gratitude to all except Athelia. She said we could browse her wares. She said that there was something(s) in the basement, and that if we got rid of it, then she would give us Talking Cookies, which allow us, when we eat them, to communicate with another person who eats one in a limited range. We took on the task, going down into the basement. As we walked down, there were two inanimate gargoyles, or so it seemed. There were scratch marks all along the floor, and as Eirk went to investigate them, the gargoyles sprang to life! After our heroes went through and epic battle, we found a secret door. As we went through we found a suit of armor lying on the floor, and a chest. as we went to open the chest, the suit of armor started to glow with a magical red energy. It then stood upright, and started to move. After a battle ensuing the first attack, we finally got to the chest, and inside, we found a liquid that gave our weapons, when coated with it, a +1 bonus. We then went past the used-to-be gargoyles, now piles of rubble, back up the stairs, and back into the woman's shop. She gave us the talking cookies, and we went on our way to find the Sunken Citadel.

Episode 3 - Into the Sunken Citadel

After our last basement experience, we went to a small town. There we met a new player, Josephus, leaning against a tree. We met each other with tension, but he became like family to us. We went to meet the mayor of the town. He had a servant that would serve us only chips. We then found out about a goblin who had dropped a white apple. The apple was found to be fatally poisonous by a kid who ate it, and died on the spot. We went to a bar to find information about the mysterious Bellock the Outcast. After getting into a fight with the bartender, we finally got out. We went to a cliff to find the Sunless Citadel. What we did find was a large ravine with signs saying not to go into it. So naturally we all decided that we would head down into the ravine. We used ropes to climb down the walls and we found ourselves in front of some stares. After heading down those stares we eventually found the Sunless Citadel.
