A publisher's home city can greatly impact the kinds of novels it produces, where its interests lie, and whether it is economically feasible to work there. A 50k salary looks very different in New York City versus Minneapolis versus Providence. While finding a publishing job is hard and getting an offer is exciting, always consider whether your salary meets the cost of living in the city you'll have to move to.
