The Mission of the Pompom project is to facilitate inclusive workshops where people come together to create pompoms which culminate in larger art installations for public spaces, museums, schools and businesses. Our mission is to teach craft as a pathway of activism by sharing beliefs through art.
The Pompom Project is a community art class that invites people to make yarn pompoms for larger art installations.
At our events you will learn how to make pompoms with yarn and a pompom maker. Craftivism is a form of activism, typically incorporating elements of anti-capitalism, environmentalism, solidarity, or third-wave feminism, that is centered on practices of craft - or what has traditionally been referred to as "domestic arts".
