Bible Reading
Reading and studying the Word of God is vital as we receive instructions for how to live out our faith. We must have the consistent influence of the Word in our mind and spirit to maintain our overall health. Make a commitment to stay in the Word during these 40 days. Read it, pray it & declare it over your family!
Prayer
During the next 40 days, it is essential that you include prayer in order for time spent in the Word and in fasting to have the most impact. Prayer is the key that unlocks the potential of your faith in all that you believe God for!
Be sure and make note of the following ways we will be praying together:
Early Morning Prayer
Before 10 AM each day
Pre-Service Prayer
Each Sun. and Wed. before service
Corporate Prayer
Saturday, 1/10 @ 7 PM
Saturday, 1/24 @ 7 PM
Saturday, 2/7 @ 7 PM
Fasting
You are encouraged to humble yourself through the discipline of fasting throughout these 40 days. Fasting coupled with prayer allows us to step into realms of spiritual authority that we will otherwise be unable to realize. (See Mark 9:14-29) Fasting isn’t supposed to be comfortable, and that’s why it works. It impacts our lives, freeing our time and mental energy consumed by food and other distractions. Fasting makes room for time and influence in His presence. This isn’t to be shouted from the housetop! (See Matthew 6:16-18) You will have a tendency to focus on how you “can’t do this,” but just quietly take control of your flesh and give it to God one day at a time. The Daily Guide includes various types of fasting throughout these 40 days:
MEANINGFUL Fasting
This time is set aside for you to go without one or more things that are meaningful to you. Ask yourself, “What is something that will affect me and will be most noticed if I go without it?”
MEAL Fasting
Types of Meal Fasting
Fasting 6 AM to 6 PM
Fasting one or two meals a day
Fasting a 24 hour period for 3-5 days
Choose your meal fasting based on:
The Leading of the Spirit
Medical Conditions
Work Responsibilities
MEDIA Fasting
No social media, internet, video/computer games, videos, TV unless it is a work requirement. This type of fast will free you from so many of the world’s distractions! You may choose to fast from MEDIA the entire 40 days. Be intentional during this time in getting closer to God and your family.

Let’s begin 2026 set apart , empowered, and sent!
-Pastor Mark Semrau
Regardless of age, everyone is encouraged to participate as we submit to God and His leading. These next 40 days will bring about unity in the Church that is necessary for the health and growth of the Body of Christ!
The decision to participate in these 40 Days of Consecration is one that you should make prayerfully with the understanding that you are about to enter into a time of separation from things that have been a distraction in your life, intent on replacing them with dedication to God. Expect the miraculous, plan for the supernatural flow of the Spirit of God in every area of your life, and allow Him to lead and guide you!
Prayerfully consider this: Times of Consecration lead to Revelation & Transformation, which leads to Demonstration, and ultimately Multiplication… …all to THE GLORY of GOD!
Remember, we aren’t just called to GO to Church, but we are called to BE the Church! If we average 7 hours of sleep per night, that leaves 119 hours per week for us to actively BE the Church!
