About The Plasterher

I'm Liz, the founder of The Plasterher. I am a professional plasterer, tiler and decorator based on the Wirral, and my route into the trade is probably not what you would expect.

I came into plastering out of sheer frustration. After one too many experiences with tradespeople who did not turn up, did not reply and left jobs half finished, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I enrolled on a course, practised on my own home until I was confident in my skills, and The Plasterher was born.

Before starting the business I spent years working as a project manager, so I understand better than most what happens when communication breaks down and timelines start to slip. That experience shapes everything about how I run The Plasterher. You will always get a response, you will always know what is happening and your job will be completed when I say it will be.

I also want The Plasterher to be a business that women in particular feel comfortable calling. The trade industry has not always been the most welcoming space for female customers or female tradespeople, and I am quietly determined to change that, one job at a time.

What I love most is delivering transformations. There is nothing quite like seeing a customer's reaction when a job is finished and the space looks completely different. Whether it is a small patch repair or a full reskim, every job gets the same level of attention and care. No job is too small and none is taken for granted.

Because to me, a truly great job is not just about the finish on the wall. It is about how you felt throughout the whole experience. That is what I mean by where craft meets care.
