Vegetables are kind of like fruits, but they are seedless. Spices are dried plants or seeds that you put in dishes, while herbs are fresh plants that you put in dishes.
There are 3 main types of soil. Loamy, clay, and sandy. Loamy clay has coarse dirt, tiny silt particles, and clay. Many plants like this kind of sold because it is easy for the roots to dig in. Clay soil is sticky and hard to dig in. It is made of tightly packed sediment. This makes it hard the the plants roots to penetrate the soil. Sandy soil is kind of like sand. It is made of tiny pieces of rock and sand and allows water to drain easily. It also lacks humus, the dark colored organic material in soil that delivers nutrients to plants.
Out of all spices, the second most expensive spice is vanilla, the first being saffron.
