- Photos: You upload photos to create personal albums, share them via unique codes, and post them in the public Feed section.
- Reviews and Inquiries: You can submit reviews and inquiries for vendors listed in the app.
- Location Data: With your explicit permission, we collect precise GPS-based latitude and longitude to enable features like "Nearby" vendor search.
b. Device Data (With Your Permission)
We request access to certain device features to provide core functionalities:- Camera/Gallery: To allow you to capture or upload photos for your profile, albums, and Feed posts.
- Device Contacts: To help you connect with other users on the platform, if you choose to do so.
c. Usage Data
We may also collect information automatically when you use the Service, such as:- Your device’s IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent on the Service
- Unique device identifiers
d. Sensitive Data Handling
We do not intentionally collect highly sensitive information (e.g., racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data). The photos you upload may potentially contain sensitive information; by uploading them, you consent to their processing as described in this policy. We request one-time or ongoing permission via device prompts for location data and do not share precise coordinates with third parties without consent.2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To create and manage your account, facilitate the sharing of photo albums via codes, display the Feed, and list vendors.
- To Enable Sharing and Social Features: Your photos, reviews, and Feed posts are shared with other users as per the functionality you use (e.g., users with an album code can view that album, Feed posts are public). Your vendor inquiries are shared with the relevant vendor.
- To Manage Your Account and Provide Customer Support.
- To Improve and Personalize the Service.
- To Send Updates and Promotional Materials (with your consent where required by law).
- To Comply with Legal Obligations.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your information in the following situations:- With Other Users (As Functionally Required): Your profile information, photos, reviews, and Feed posts are shared with other users as a fundamental part of the Service. For example, photos in an album are visible to anyone with the sharing code, and Feed posts are visible to the Pictik community.
- With Service Providers: We use third-party providers (e.g., Google Firebase for cloud storage and hosting) to operate the Service. These providers are bound by strict data protection agreements and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
- For Legal Reasons: To comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users.
- With Your Consent: For any other purpose disclosed to you with your explicit consent.
4. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence (e.g., in the US or EU via our service providers). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers through mechanisms like Standard Contractual Clauses.
We retain your personal data until you permanently delete your account. Once your account is deleted, all associated data, including your uploaded photos and posts, will be removed from our active systems. We securely delete or anonymize data within 30 days of a deletion request, except where required to retain it by law. Inactive accounts may be deleted after 2 years of inactivity.

- Moderation: Reported content is reviewed promptly, and users who violate our policies may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

13. Biometric Data and Facial Recognition
The core functionality of Pictik relies on facial recognition to help you discover your photos from events. To provide this service:
Collection and Use: When you choose to use the photo discovery feature, you will be prompted to upload a clear profile photo. This image, which contains your face data, is transmitted to and stored on our secure servers. We use this image solely to create a facial model that allows our system to identify other photos of you from events and group them into your personal album.
Storage and Security: Your facial image is stored on our secure servers with strict access controls. It is not used for any other purpose, including marketing, advertising, or tracking.
Your Control and Retention: We retain your facial data to provide you with continuous photo discovery for future events. You retain absolute control and can permanently delete your facial data from our servers at any time through the in-app feature located in Settings > Privacy & Security > Delete My Face Data. This action is immediate and irreversible. Deletion of your Pictik account will also result in the automatic erasure of your facial data.
No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share, sell, or rent your facial data to any third parties.
