OS security

The OS stores it's data in a cookie like format using a custom TurboWarp extension. For more information about this extension go here: https://extensions.turbowarp.org/local-storage

The data collected by The OS is not used by us and if they get compromised we simply cannot do anything about that.

Location data is sent it to a server that is not in our control for processing if you do not like this do not insert your real location. 

Please do not insert any sensitive data into our operating system as it is not encrypted or stored safely. 

Open source

All code and processes are available for all users to freely look and edit. The OS is open source and is able to be remixed on scratch or TurboWarp. 

You will be able to review all pieces of code in The OS and if you find something that you do not like you'll be able to either remove it or not use The OS. 

When making your own fork of the os make sure you Credit us and "Omar is the best coder". 

For beta testers

When joining the beta testing program, do not release the beta .sb3 if you do, you will not be trusted anymore for any bata releases in the future. 

When Joining the beta testing program, you will be evaluated to make sure that your trusted to not release any .sb3s this evaluation may take one week

Compatibility

The newer versions of The OS will be written in TurboWarp from now on. Some features will not work when running in Scratch. For the full experience use the TurboWarp desktop application or website here: https://turbowarp.org/?turbo. The TW versions will still be released on scratch for people who cannot access TurboWarp. 

You'll need a more powerful computer to run newer versions of The OS as the capacity of the .sb3 is way too big and powerful for scratch to run again for more better experiences have a more powerful computer and TurboWarp desktop here are the minimum specs that you'll need and was tested on

Minimum specs for The OS

• At least 1.6 GHz processor

• At least 4 GB of RAM

• At least 20Gb of Storage for sb3 + OS

• TurboWarp desktop v1.10.1 or TurboWarp website (Scratch works too but not for Metro OS)

• Wi-Fi (recommended for online features)

• At least Mac OS 10.13 - 15.5 or Windows 7 - 11 and Debian, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS or a Linux like OS

The OS will at least try to run on anything that runs Scratch

"The OS" refers to Oxygen OS or Metro OS
