The team is personally paying for the full competition costs and the cost of adding sensors to the vessel. Also, we have had in-kind donations and hundreds of hours of volunteer time to support this. We would be thrilled if you would consider supporting either the BC Lung Foundation or the Robert Caton/David Bates Scholarships - which will help develop the next generation of scientists and engineers working in this field.
Advancing respiratory health, air quality awareness, and programs that reduce pollution-related risks for communities
Together, the Robert Caton and David Bates Scholarships support outstanding students in Environmental Sciences across British Columbia. Since their inception, $53,000 has been awarded to students pursuing studies related to atmospheric science, air quality, public health, and policy, fostering the next generation of leaders in environmental research and advocacy.
