There are three ways to watch the talk:
Joining live on Google meet: Due to logistical issues, there is a limit on the number of people who can join this way. Prior to every talk, we will share a registration form where one can request for live meeting access; this will be handled on a first-cum-first-served basis. If you are joining the live Google Meet event, then please take a look at the instructions before you join.
Watching the live stream on YouTube: The live stream of every talk will be available on our Youtube channel. The link will go live a few days before the event. We strongly encourage you to subscribe to our channel for direct updates. No registration is required. Questions and comments during the talk are welcome (text only, unfortunately); simply post a comment below the live video stream on YouTube.
Watching the recorded talk offline. The recorded talk will be made available shortly after the talk ends on our YouTube channel. (As people like to say: "If you like this, please comment, like or subscribe"!!)
Instructions for those joining via Google Meet:
Before the talk:
We plan to conduct talks on Google Meet, and hence you will need a Google account to log in.
When the talk is announced on the website or email, please register for live access to the meeting.
During the talk:
Please mute your microphone when the talk is in progress.
If you want to ask a question, you must unmute your microphone.
Asking questions: protocol
Before the talk
Please send us the slides at least a day in advance.
We recommend that the talks be about 45-50 minutes long.
Please make sure that you have
A good internet connection (recommended at least 6-10 Mbps)
Headset with a good quality microphone
During the talk
Please join the meeting at least 30 minutes before the talk (just to make sure that there are no technical glitches)
Talks should be about 50 minutes long. If there are more technical details to cover, we would sometimes take questions, let people leave, and then continue with those details.
Use your mouse as your laser pointer
You may choose to take questions during the talk, or after. If you prefer to address questions while the talk in is in progress, then the organisers will keep an eye on the YouTube chat window and ask the questions.
