Teaching
What I think of the link between teaching and research
Academics do not all consider that there is an intrinsic link between teaching and research. Personally, i think that personnal investment in research constitutes one of the best teaching instrument and the way offered to students to learn. Teaching forces you to keep up to date on a number of subjects and allows you to maintain motivation for your research work.
I try to be an invested teacher, available, able of developing the culture and the critical spirit of the students. As far as they are concerned, they are there to carry out work and they will be judged according to the same criteria as me.

Outreach
In parallel with my professional activities, I try to make people aware of life in aquatic environments. I am involved in an association approved for fishing and the protection of the aquatic environment where I co-host fishing and nature activities with young people.
