Introduction

Olympus

When you think of Olympus, what do you think of? The Greek Gods and Goddesses right? The place where they all live? You probably think it's this beautiful, peaceful place? Well, you're right and wrong about that. Beautiful? Yes. Peaceful? Definitely not. Believe me, I know all about it.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Zeus. You've probably heard of me. All-powerful, King of the Gods. You know, the greatest and strongest among all. No big deal. Anyway, I rule over this land and the sky. I live here on Olympus with most of my family. You've probably heard of them too.

Firstly, there is my wife, Hera, the Queen of the Gods. She is a strong, beautiful woman but also a jealous woman. She gets jealous of anyone else who is also beautiful. Often times it gets in the way of our relationship. I don't blame her though. I do have many kids with many... many other women.

Then there is my brother, Poseidon. He is the God of the Sea, so he only comes up every once is a while to see us. He's also obsessed with his trident. He doesn't leave that anywhere.

My other brother, Hades, he is the King of the Underworld. He lives down in the Underworld and isn't allowed to come up here. He brings too much drama with him. I have to deal with the drama from my wife and kids on the daily. Hades and his drama is one less thing I need.

As for my kids, you'll meet them throughout this storybook, but only a few of them. I don't have time right now to tell you about all of them.

For now, I have to go meet a woman named Thetis. Apparently her son is in need of help and I need to pay up on a debt. I swear, everyone needs my help nowadays. Also, do me a favor and don't tell Hera about this meeting. She's going to get really mad if she finds out I went to meet another woman.
