I am a mathematician (PhD) with a background in differential geometry and mathematical physics, working as an actuarial programmer in the German private health insurance sector since July 2021. From April 2018 until June 2021 I was a PhD student at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Göttingen, Germany under the supervision of Madeleine Jotz Lean (here is my old university website, as long as it is still online...). I got my MSc in Mathematics from the Mathematics Center of the University of Bonn, Germany under the supervion of Christian Blohmann from the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn with a thesis on normal forms in Poisson geometry. Before I moved to Bonn, I earned a BSc in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Ioannina, Greece.
For my PhD project, I worked on higher geometric structures such as Z-graded supermanifolds, Lie n-algebroids, and higher Poisson and symplectic structures. Specifically, my PhD dissertation consists of the following subjects:
Differential graded modules and representations up to homotopy of higher Lie algebroids together with their "classical" differential geometric analogues of higher VB-algebroids
Linear structures on vector bundles in the category of Z-graded supermanifolds (e.g., linear homological vector fields, linear Poisson structures, etc.)
A more general list of my research interests in pure mathematics is the following:
(Graded) Differential geometry
(Higher) Poisson and symplectic geometry
(Higher) Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids
Representations up to homotopy
Deformation theory
Mathematical physics
Apart from the topics above, I am also interest in more applied topics, such as Statistics, Programming, and their applications. More precisely, I am a user (and a fan) of two array programming languages which I use both personally as well as professionally at my work, namely R and APL.
