Theodoros A. Tsiftsis is a Professor of Wireless Communications at the University of Thessaly, Greece. His research interests include wireless communications theory, 6G wireless networks, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, non-terrestrial networks, optical wireless communications, physical layer security, covert communications, and AI-native wireless systems. He has authored and co-authored numerous journal and conference papers in leading IEEE venues and has served in several editorial roles for major IEEE journals. He is actively involved in European and international research projects on advanced wireless, satellite, and AI-enabled communication systems. His current research focuses on intelligent and energy-efficient wireless systems for 6G and beyond, with emphasis on neuromorphic and digital twin-empowered RIS, secure communications, integrated sensing and communication, and non-terrestrial network integration.
