💡 Quick Summary Cadence is a music player for the music already stored on your device, with an optional podcast feature. It is designed to work without an account and without collecting your personal information. This policy explains what the app accesses on your device and what information leaves your device when you use its features.
None.
The developer of Cadence does not collect, receive, store, or have access to any of your personal data.
No user accounts
No analytics or tracking SDKs
No advertising
The app saves the following data only in its private storage on your device. This data is never sent to the developer and is permanently removed when you uninstall the app:
Music Library Details: Any title, artist, album, or cover edits you make.
User Customizations: Loop regions, playlists, smart playlists, and favorites.
App Metrics: Play counts and newly-added-song detection.
Preferences: App settings.
Podcasts: Podcast subscriptions and any episodes you download for offline playback.
Artwork: Album and artist artwork downloaded for your library.
To function properly, Cadence requires the following system permissions:
Audio / Media / Storage: Used to read the music files on your device so the app can build your library. The app only reads your audio; it does not modify, delete, or upload your files.
Notifications: Used to show playback controls in a media notification.
Some optional features connect directly from your device to third-party services. When you use these features, the service necessarily receives your device's IP address and the content of the request (for example, your search terms).
These connections are made only when you use the related feature:
Cover Art: Connects to MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive to fetch missing album and artist artwork.
Podcasts: Connects to the Apple / iTunes podcast directory (for search) and individual podcast RSS feeds / audio host providers (to browse, search, subscribe to, stream, and download episodes).
⚠️ Please Note: Cadence does not send your music library or any personal identifier to these services. The developer does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their practices. Please review their respective policies:
Podcast feeds and media are operated entirely by their respective publishers.
Cadence is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Because your data stays entirely on your device, its security is governed by your device's own protections, such as your screen lock and operating-system safeguards.
This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change, and any material changes will be reflected in an app update.
