Halloween 2025

1. Slashers

For a long time, it has been easy to dress as slashers, and they are a staple of Halloween. Ghostface, Freddy Kreuger, or Chucky are some of the most iconic halloween costumes you can pick. They are easily recognizable, iconic, and easy to find. If slashers are too basic,though, you can go as a victim or a final girl. Sidney Prescott or Tatum Riley are extremely iconic, and a final girl and a slasher could work very well for a couple costume or just a simple duo. My friend and I are doing a variation on this, since we’re going as Ashley and Ashlyn from Final Destination 3.

2. Mean Girls

Mean girls is easily one of the most iconic films of the 2000s, and are great for duo or trio costumes. It’s simple and recognizable. At the same time, you don’t have to spend lots of time or money getting ready. After all, most mean girl outfits are just a jacket, a tank top, a skirt, and heels. If you’re looking for a last minute costume, this is perfect for looking absolutely fetch!

3. Monster High

Monster High is one of the most iconic kids shows ever, and the fashion is cute and divalicious. It’s great for friend groups, and Monster High practically screams Halloween. It’s cute, EXTREMELY diverse, and is both iconic and original. Along with that, you don’t need to waste your money to buy the actual clothes they wear. See, each character has their own palette that you can adopt. For example,  if you’re going as Draculaura, just buy cheap black and pink clothes! It’s very fun and unique, but also extremely easy to cheap out.

4. Celebrities

This is a more expensive, but iconic option. You can go as your favorite pop star, so not only do you get to show your interests, but every time someone asks who you are for Halloween, you can rant to them about music you like!
