Did you know there isn't an affirmative "right to vote" in the original Constitution?  There are amendments that indicate that the right to vote cannot be withheld from certain groups of people, but other than a mention in Article I, section 2 about representation in the House, and another mention in Article IV about guarantees of "republican" government in every State, there is no specific guarantee to the people of a right to vote.
