Welcome to The Musa Effect App. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy applies strictly to the Client side of the application and is designed to comply with App Store and Google Play privacy requirements.

2. Information We Collect

The App is designed to facilitate personal training services. Because your user account is provisioned and managed directly by your Personal Trainer (Coach), we collect the following types of information:

- Personal Information: Name, email address and any notes added by your Coach during account creation.

- Health and Fitness Data: Workout logs, weights used, rep ranges completed, exercise history, and progress analytics.

- Communication Data: Messages sent through the in-app chat with your Coach, and feedback provided by your Coach.

- Usage Data: Information regarding your interaction with the app, such as session history and push notification interactions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to provide, maintain, and improve the personal training services within the app, specifically to:

- Facilitate your personalized training programme and track your fitness progress.

- Enable direct, secure communication between you and your Coach.

- Provide assigned nutrition and exercise advice.

- Send you push notifications regarding workout reminders, programme updates, and coaching feedback.

- Ensure app security, verify identity, and prevent unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is strictly shared in the following ways:

- With Your Coach: Since your Coach manages your training regimen, they have full administrative access to your profile, workout logs, chat history, and progress analytics.

- Third-Party Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party cloud services (e.g., Firebase, Google Cloud) for secure data storage, authentication, and push notifications. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and security protocols.

- Legal Protections: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulations.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including data encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. We enforce data isolation to ensure your data is accessible only to you and your assigned Coach.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and needed to provide services to you. 

Account Deletion: As a Client, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. Because your account is managed by your Coach, you must contact your Coach to permanently delete your account. Once your Coach initiates account deletion, your personal data and workout logs will be permanently removed from our active database.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Musa Effect App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete such data from our servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy, or through in-app notifications. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

10. Account Deletion

Clients may request account deletion either through their Coach or by contacting our support team directly at najib.musa@protonmail.com and can also delete the account though the in app option.
