The project started in february 2026, after succesful funding by FCT.

Finalising the process of hiring a bioinformatic technician to work on the project, starting from may 2026.

First deliverable of the project is final: a list of all the samples from A2S and NCBI's SRA that we would like to analyse. >100 samples for each of three species: rainbow trout, atlantic salmon and gilthead seabream, from SRA. And several batches of samples from European and national projects done at A2S.
