The Mixed Nuts

The Mixed Nuts made their debut on the music scene in March 2009, performing at a "Spring Fling" hosted by an LDS ward in South Jordan. Though their beginnings were modest, the band quickly gained a loyal following, captivating audiences across the Salt Lake Valley. From senior centers and retirement communities to anniversary parties, dances, and weddings, the Mixed Nuts have become a beloved fixture in the local music scene. Specializing in the timeless sounds of the big band era, they bring to life the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and other legendary performers, sparking cherished memories for those who lived through that golden age of swing.

Today, the band is one of the busiest in the valley, drawing praise wherever they play. When asked about their remarkable success, founder Bob Nohavec offered a simple explanation: “We play what people want to hear, and we play it well. Most importantly, we have fun, and so do they. That’s the key—we all have a good time. What could be better than that?”
