This project owes its inception to Masterpieces of World Literature, a course on edX, that I had the opportunity to pursue on financial assistance in August 2020. Much before this was possible, I developed a keen interest in World Literature since my early college days in Kolkata. It is dedicated to Kolkata and Delhi, travels and the inexplicable in between.
I am especially grateful to Bertram da Silva; Ratnabali Ghosh for much conversation, encouragement, help and feedback on the project, each time I have showed up unexpected and uninformed, bestowing another twenty years of engagement to this project; Harish Trivedi and Rita Kothari’s talks in “Translation Studies across Frontiers” organised by Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, University of Hyderabad and Faculty of Arts, Communication and Indic Studies, Sri Sri University, Odisha; Dipankar Gupta's insight in the space between 'naukri' and 'mazduri' during "Millennial March: Policy Perspectives for the Future" by Indian School of Public Policy;
Mostly, to my parents who have borne my silence through and through; my brother’s technical leads.
