  • You're in the middle of a natural disaster and you have a car with only two spots. Those who get in the car will be safe. Those who don't get in the car may survive, but it's unlikely. The following people are with you - the love of your life, your best friend that you owe your life to (because they once saved your life), and an old lady who's sick and will die unless she gets to a hospital as soon as possible. What would you do? Explain your answer. :
  • I would choose to save the old lady and my best friend. This is because I have not met the love of my life yet, I imagine they would be like a hypothetical stranger to me in this scenario. I have personal connections with my best friend in this case, so I would favor them more in this type of situation. The old woman is in grave danger of dying, and would be even less likely to survive if she were left behind; the love of my life would have a greater chance of surviving.

Otherwise, I would actually end up choosing the love of my life and my best friend in this scenario; although I would feel immense guilt and shame for leaving the lady behind for the rest of my life.

• Why do you think you should be chosen to compete? :Because I know that it's likely I will be one of the few ISTJs that signs up for this event.
• Why do you want to compete? : Because I wanted to try this event out.

  • What three items would you bring with you on a deserted island? : Husband, briefcase solar generator, survival kit (if husband does not count as an item, an ereader 'cause I have to have something to do when I'm not trying to get off the island - or when I decide to just stay there)

What would you do? Explain your answer. :Love of my life. The old lady's had a good run (I'm assuming) and there's no guarantee that I'm anywhere near a hospital anyway. Any best friend who's capable of saving my life is probably capable of surviving a natural disaster (and possibly also taking care of the old lady). So's love of my life, of course, but LomL is pretty resourceful and I'll need him to continue survival/escaping.
  • One interesting fact about you:It took me about a month to come up with three strengths. I don't know that it's interesting, but it's the truth. Alternatively - I might be the only ISTJ who cooks without using recipes.
  • What do you think makes you a good representative of your type? :I'm pretty good at being an ISTJ, I suppose. If it takes ten thousand hours to master something, I've mastered ISTJing since I've been doing it way longer than ten thousand hours.

What would you do? Explain your answer. :The love of my life and me. My best friend saved my life, yes, but it wouldn't make sense anymore if my life would've thrown away again. The old lady would die in a couple of years and three of us have our lives before us yet. The love of my life because it's the person that matters the most to me.
