Hello, I'm Nate, an experienced accountant with a background in both private and public accounting. Throughout my career, I served as an auditor for the state of Wisconsin, but I discovered that my true passion lies in assisting taxpayers. Additionally, I am on a personal journey of recovery, and with the unwavering support of God, my family, and friends, I have found success in this path. Over time, I became a certified peer recovery support specialist (CPRS) and noticed the pressing needs within the community.
Through my work as a CPRS and my connections in the recovery community, I recognized how my skills could be a valuable asset for individuals transitioning into recovery and those facing various challenges. Many of the barriers these individuals encounter stem from financial constraints and lack of support. Although government resources are available, they often remain unknown, involve lengthy application processes, or present confusion.
Inspired by the desire to bridge these gaps, The Matthew Project was born. Our primary goal is to assist all individuals by providing the resources and knowledge we've acquired through our own experiences. We are committed to fostering growth through education and service, ultimately benefiting the communities we all call home. Working in close collaboration with other individuals and organizations, we aim to deliver the best possible resources and services, including peer recovery support, housing assistance, mental health resources, and more.
At The Matthew Project, we firmly believe that with a little help, everyone can lead a fulfilling life, experiencing personal growth and transformation. Join us on this transformative journey, as together, we create positive change and nurture stronger, thriving communities!
