Our Story & Mission

Masquerade Theatre was formed in October of 2024 at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities as a Registered Student Organization under the direction of Spencer Sweeney and Victoria Paz Kahnke, with Charles Adams Jr. serving as the faculty sponsor.

Our club mission is to put on entirely student-run semi-professional productions of popular theatre shows.  We strive to foster a community in each and every one of our productions and have fun with the job that is putting on a production.

 Our group is comprised of theatre lovers that may not have the time or the current talent and know-how to participate in a production through the University's official theatre department. We exist to provide a space for newcomers and casual participants, and as a space for students to gain various skills through trial and error including leadership and collaboration. Our group is open to anyone on campus!

This group is a Registered Student Organization and is independent from the University of Minnesota.
