“Life, love, and purpose are threads of the same cloth — we’re just learning how to weave them.”
Hi, I’m Chelsea—Navy veteran, registered nurse, homesteader, mother of six, and midwife in the making. Together with my incredible, jack-of-all-trades husband, we’ve built a life rooted in nature, creativity, and care—where the rhythm of our home matches the heartbeat of the land we steward.
I currently work as a labor and delivery nurse, where I witness the beauty and complexity of birth inside the hospital system. This experience is shaping me into the kind of midwife who can help you navigate it with confidence, clarity, and autonomy—whether you birth at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital.
My path to becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife (graduating in 2028) is deeply informed by years of hands-on support, military service, and a heart for informed choice. Though I no longer offer in-person doula services, I now focus on providing digital tools, virtual support, and compassionate education to empower families and birth professionals alike.
When I’m not attending births or studying midwifery, you’ll find me in the garden, making medicine from wild herbs, or reading by the fire with my kids nearby.
This space is for truth-telling, informed consent, and sacred birth preparation. Welcome to The Manistee Midwife.
