Submissions for ISSUE TWO ARE BEING ACCEPTED UNTIL MAY 31 here!

The Machine accepts previously unpublished work in the following categories. Submissions are free. Simultaneous submissions to other publications are permitted, but upon acceptance elsewhere, please let us know by email at themachinemag@gmail.com, so that we can withdraw your submission from consideration in a timely fashion. We also ask that one person does not submit in more than two categories simultaneously. Unfortunately, we are not currently offering compensation for creatives who we choose to publish. 

 For medium specific guidelines, see below.

Poetry--- Please submit 1-3 poems, in a single document, totaling no more than 8 pages. 

Fiction--- Please submit 1-2 pieces of fiction, totaling no more than 7,500 words. 

Creative Non-Fiction--- Please submit no more than 7,500 words. 

Flash Fiction--- Please submit a flash fiction piece that is under 1,500 words.

Art/Photography--- Please submit 1-5 artistic pieces in PDF format.

Spoken Word--- Please submit an audio file in mp3 format, along with a written transcription in a document, no longer than 10 minutes in length.
