The Lorcans

It all started in 2021 in the city of Bern. Two students met during classes and discovered a shared passion for traditional Irish folk music. John, an Irishman who plays the accordion and also the guitar, and Thomas, a Swiss guitarist and singer, quickly became friends and decided to play music together.

What began as a single song soon turned into two, then several, and before long, they had built an entire repertoire of Irish folk tunes. Soon, they began performing in local pubs, captivating audiences with their enchanting melodies and genuine energy. Today, John and Thomas also perform at weddings and other special events, bringing their unique touch of traditional Irish folk music and creating unforgettable moments.

In 2025, Marcell joined the group, bringing versatile skills on mandolin, bass, accordion, and banjo. More than just a musician, he completes the band with his rich sound and deep musical insight, elevating the performances to a new level.
