Where Services Take Place

At The Learning Nest NH, we believe learning happens best where students feel comfortable and where skills can be applied in meaningful ways. That's why we offer flexible service locations to meet the unique needs of each learner and family.

In-Home Support
One-on-one tutoring and life skills instruction take place in the comfort of your home, providing a familiar environment where students can focus, build confidence, and practice skills within their daily routines.

Community-Based Learning
Some of the most valuable learning happens in real-life settings. We meet students in the community to practice functional life skills through authentic experiences, such as grocery shopping, visiting the library, ordering at restaurants, navigating community spaces, or building social and independent living skills.

Public Meeting Locations
Families who prefer to meet outside the home can choose a mutually agreed-upon public location, such as a library, community center, or other quiet learning space that supports productive instruction.

Virtual Tutoring
For students who benefit from online learning or live outside our service area, virtual sessions provide personalized academic support, executive functioning coaching, and parent consultation from the convenience of home.

Services:

ACADEMIC TUTORING | 1 HOUR SESSION | $50

Our specialized tutoring is designed for students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs, developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other exceptionalities.

Instruction is personalized to each learner and may include:

• Reading and literacy

• Writing and written expression

• Math

• Executive functioning and organization

• Homework support

• Study and learning strategies

• Goal-based academic skill development

Our lessons are engaging, individualized, and paced to build both skills and confidence.

FUNCTIONAL LIFE SKILLS INSTRUCTION | 1 HOUR SESSION | $50

Success extends beyond the classroom. We help students develop the practical skills needed to become more independent at home, in school, and in their communities.

Life skills instruction may include:

• Daily living routines

• Personal organization

• Communication skills

• Self-advocacy

• Money management

• Cooking and meal preparation

• Problem-solving

• Decision-making

• Time management

Each lesson is meaningful, hands-on, and tailored to your child's age and goals.

COMMUNITY-BASED LEARNING | 1 HOUR SESSION | $50

Real learning happens in real life.

Our community-based instruction provides opportunities to practice important skills in authentic settings while building confidence and independence.

Activities may include:

• Grocery shopping and budgeting

• Ordering at restaurants

• Visiting the library

• Community safety

• Recreational outings

• Workplace readiness

• Social communication in public settings

Students learn by doing, helping them transfer skills into everyday life.

TRANSITION AND INDEPENDENCE COACHING | 1 HOUR SESSION | $50

For older students and young adults, we provide support in preparing for life beyond school.

Instruction may include:

• Independent living skills

• Employment readiness

• Self-determination

• Postsecondary planning

• Community navigation

• Daily routines and responsibility

Our goal is to help every learner become as independent and confident as possible.

At The Learning Nest NH, every learner is unique. Before beginning services, we offer a complimentary 15-minute virtual intake consultation to learn more about your learner, your family’s goals, and how we may be able to provide support.

This conversation is an opportunity for us to connect, answer questions, and determine whether The Learning Nest NH is the right fit for your learner’s needs.

During the virtual consultation, we will discuss:

• Your learner’s strengths, interests, and personality

• Current areas where support may be helpful

• Academic, life skills, independence, or homeschool goals

• Your family’s priorities and expectations

• Service options and learning environments

• Next steps for getting started

Following the consultation, we will discuss recommended services, scheduling options, and any additional information needed to begin the enrollment process.
