Our Terms and Conditions
Our customer’s satisfaction is our first priority. We treat your laundry as if it was our own and we take every precaution to ensure that the very best care is taken throughout the entire process. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept the following Terms and Conditions to ensure that there are no misunderstandings about the Laundry Lady services or your obligations.
Laundry items
For purposes of our T&C, laundry items means and includes the following: garments, bed linen (duvet covers, pillow cases, bed sheets and towels. Items such as curtains, duvets, cushion seat covers, bed side rugs, floor mats, house slippers will be billed separately when and if collectively packed in our laundry bags. Our laundry bags have been designed to fit up to 50 items of laundry. Items between 10 -20 in excess of the 50 items per laundry bag will be billed at KSH. 200. Please ask our riders for the economy pack bag which is charged at ksh. 300 for hand wash and ksh. 500 for machine wash. This bag fits 30 laundry items. Ironing is a flat rate charged at ksh. 200 per laundry bag.
Loss & Damage
At The Laundry Lady we go to great lengths to ensure that your laundry items are treated with the very highest level of attention to detail and care. Please inform us if any of your items require special care or attention. The Laundry Lady does not accept responsibility for damage, shrinkage, or fading to any item that has not been specified as new or requiring special attention.
Rest assured that we carefully track you laundry items. Your items are never loose in our service unless they’re inside a machine, on the folding table, or in their own laundry baskets waiting to be folded or ironed.
If you do believe you are missing something from your delivery, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your clean laundry — we are much more likely to find misplaced laundry if it is reported early.
In the unlikely event that a garment has been lost or damaged our liability will not exceed the equivalent value of five (5) times the cost of cleaning the item, regardless of brand or cost of the garment.
Wash and Fold
For laundry, we use cold water because it is the gentlest treatment possible for your garments and colors as well as the most non-abrasive products available to protect your garments in the washing process. We will not accept responsibility for any damage or shrinkage of any item meant for dry cleaning which is sent to us for regular wash and fold service. If a garment is new and being washed for the first time there is a risk that some shrinkage may occur or that color may run. We will not accept responsibility for shrinkage to any garment during the drying process or damage due to bleeding of color of any garment during the wash cycle.
Scheduling and Payment
You can schedule your pickup through our online order form available here or contact us by phone on +254 791 825 923. We request that all payments be done via mPesa to our till number 754963.Once your laundry is done, we shall communicate to you via text message so that payment can be made upon receipt of the laundry.
