"LAHMBS provided newborn infant clothing and items to a teenage mom (JR) who was living temporarily with her own mother in Harrisburg. JR relied on her mother to transport her to medical appointments and WIC appts., etc. Shortly after the birth of JR's baby, her mother lost both her vehicle and her job. JR stated that her baby was getting too heavy to carry and if she had a stroller, she could use it to walk to her Pediatrician's office, and to the bus stop to take the bus to Steelton in order to spend time with her grandmother.  This young mom's eyes lit up when she received a stroller from LAHMBS. Not only did she use the stroller for necessary trips, but she also started to take her baby to a nearby park and for walks along the river!"
