PEOPLE

Lompong (Lom) comes from Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand. He received a PhD in Botany, Botanical institute, Biocenter, University of Cologne, Germany in 2017. He has worked as lecture and researcher at Division of Biological Science, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University since the Christmas of 2017. He is interested in rice-mycorrhiza symbiosis, nutrient deficiency in rice and rice biotechnology. He enjoys witnessing how students and associates take responsibility, develop their project(s), skills, and personality, and further their career. His teaching portfolio includes basic courses in plant physiology, plant tissue and organ culture and plant ecology and advanced courses in  plant-water relations and mineral nutrition. From 2022, He is a leader of plant cell and physiology for sustainable agriculture research unit, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University.

Sutee comes from Nan, Thailand. He received a PhD in Biotechnology , BSuranaree University of Technology , Thailand in 2023. She started in August 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher supported by PSU Postdoctoral Fellowship.  He is interested in plant-microbe interaction. He is working on the evaluation of mycorrhizal growth responses of Acaulospora cf. morrowiae in maize under diverse abiotic stress conditions

Tharnthip (Namfon) comes from Songkhla, Thailand. She started in November 2023 as a scholarship recipient from Science Achievement Scholarship of Thailand (SAST). She received a Master’s degree in Biology from Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University in 2023. She is currently working on dynamic of fungal and bacterial microbiomes in mycoheterotrophic plants in a lowland tropical rain forest of Southern Thailand.

Phuwadon (Phu) comes from Songkhla, Thailand. He started in July 2023 as a scholarship recipient for research assistance from Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University in 2022. He is currently working on effect of chitooligosaccharide on rice tolerance to osmotic stresses.

Pattanapong (Toey) comes from Surat Thani, Thailand. He started in July 2023 as a research assistance supported by Plant cell and physiology for sustainable agriculture research unit, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University in 2022. He is currently working on effect of phosphorus deficiency on leaf greenness of rice.

Songpon (Muffin) comes from Songkhla, Thailand. He started in July 2025 as a scholarship recipient from the Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project  (DPST). He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University in 2024. He is currently working on the effect of soil types on the mycorrhizal growth response trait in Maize.
