Hi! I'm Ms. Tanya! I spent 7 years in gymnastics classes when I was younger and also competed. I then went on to play other sports and took all those foundation skills with me- strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, etc. So my goal is to build that foundation for your kiddo as well. I am also huge on building self confidence and believing in yourself. You can do hard things!! : )
I began gymnastics classes at the ripe, old age of three at the Norfolk Family YMCA. I loved it and was on the Norfolk YMCA Flairs gymnastics team around age 8. I competed in the AAU division until I was a freshman in high school. Cheerleading and track took the place of competitive gymnastics, but I couldn’t give up the sport entirely. At that point I began coaching students in parent-tot classes all the way up to boys pre-team for the Norfolk YMCA. After college, I was teaching in Columbus, NE and helped start a tumbling program at the Columbus YMCA. There were several years when I was not so closely connected to gymnastics. When my oldest daughter, Molly, was three I was introduced to Tanya and Kartwheel Kids. Molly loved gymnastics and soon my second daughter, Lydia, was also taking classes.
Once again there was a break in my time in the gym. After both of my sons were born, the girls and I found our way back to Kartwheel Kids. I started teaches classes.
I love the fun atmosphere at Kartwheel Kids! It’s great to bring my kids to the gym and let them have a taste of the sport I loved so much growing up.
Fun facts: I love art! I was an art teacher before my kids were born and now I work as a graphic designer for HamptonDesigns.org. I love designing logos and t-shirt designs best.
Hi! I'm Ms. Bianca. I have been dancing and doing acrobats since I was 2. I did competitive dance at Kitty Lee Dance. I loved getting to compete and travel to dance competitions! I continued with competitive dance until I was in 6th grade. Even though I wasn't competing, I still did weekly classes and taught little kids classes once a week. I loved getting to help with the little kids! A few years later, I ended up making my high school's dance team and did that all four years. I was captain my junior and senior years. Following high school, I took a break from dance to focus on my studies. I attended Midland University to study secondary education. Following graduation, I got a job at Fremont High School and have been here since then as a special education teacher. I met Tanya a few years later and knew the thing missing from my life was teaching classes. I love being back in the gym and teaching at The Kartwheel Kids!
Hello! I'm Samara Scott, and I have been a teacher at The Kartwheel Kids since about 2019. I love teaching the little kids and seeing them get better at their gymnastics skills! I did gymnastics with Tanya when I was younger. I know how to spot the kids doing gymnastics and tell them what they can do to improve. I do have another job working at the Scooter's drive-through. it's so awesome when I recognize families from The Kartwheel Kids.
