How do I use the Kai Collective?

1. Identify a family, friend or neighbor in need of love and support

2. Collect a meal or two, from:

MOUTERE: The Moutere Hills Community Centre – there’s a freezer in the foyer, or Country Kids Child Care.

MAPUA: The Mapua Hall, Mapua school or Delicious Store

3. Deliver the meal to your friend and make the world a little brighter…

Who are the meals for?

Kai Collective meals are for you to give to anyone in need of love and support

Our Packaging

We use Ecoware's bamboo packaging because it's is freezer friendly, oven safe to 220°C and microwave safe, making it the ideal range for Kai meals. After use, these great little boxes are certified for commercial composting and easily burnable.

Ecoware are an eco-friendly, New Zealand based company with ethics we love.

We don't want to be part of any more environmental waste, so if the meal doesn't work in one of these containers, we won't make it.

Wonderful teams of volunteers! See our Volunteering page for more details of how to join in.

Our volunteers give up hours of time to prepare our meals in commercial kitchens doing everything from shopping for ingredients, peeling, chopping, stirring and dishes.
