Early morning walkers alerted the JTT that vandals had tampered with half a dozen display boxes on St Martha's Bridge.
Possibly connected to the bridge flower basket vandalism the section of the fence opposite Athlumney Abbey junction was destroyed. Although the damage is considerable it is understood that the fence timber was fairly rotten.
Perhaps it's time to take the entire fence down?

This week Johnstown Tidy Towns Community Support Volunteers collected food donations and 'Back To School Packs' from Inner City Helping Homeless.
