Temporary or permanent exile from the group.
When an inactivity notice is posted for the Jedi Order (TJO), it should be noted that the notice applies not only to TJO as a whole but also extends to its divisions. Members who are placed on an inactivity (IA) notice may have their Discord direct messages (DMs) closed unless they are actively participating. If an IA notice is scheduled for a duration of one week or longer, commencing from Thursday onwards, it will carry over to the subsequent week. For instance, if a two-week notice is posted on Thursday, its effective period will commence the following week. Approval from any Jedi Council+ member is mandatory for IA notices lasting four weeks or more, as well as for notices with confidential reasons. The approval format must include the names of the approving and approved individuals, the date of approval, and the specified duration. As long as the relevant Jedi Council+ understands and acknowledges the approval granted for the stated reasons, a screenshot of the approval should be provided alongside the notice. In the event of extending an IA notice, resulting in a cumulative duration of four weeks or more, an approval from any Jedi Council+ member is required.
For example, if an individual initially declares a three-week IA notice but subsequently decides to extend it by an additional two weeks, they must obtain approval from a Jedi Council+ member, providing evidence of such approval within the message. It is essential to note that any inactivity notices without proper verification are considered invalid. The maximum permissible duration for an IA notice is two months. Should the need arise for an extension beyond this timeframe, approval from any Jedi Council+ member is mandatory. In cases where proof of Jedi Council+ approval for a monthly or longer IA notice cannot be provided, a simple (^ Approved.) statement may suffice when posting the notice.Â
