TICSAN MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS IN DETAILS:
• Academic Qualification: Hold a PhD or Doctorate in a relevant field from a recognised institution. Exceptional candidates with equivalent high-level professional achievement and impact may be considered, subject to approval by the TICSAN Board.
• Work Experience: A minimum of twenty (20) years of verifiable extensive professional experience in teaching, childcare, NGOs, social work, health services, school administration, coaching, training, or related high-level leadership, research, or policy-making roles involving children and young people aged 0-17 years.
• Professional Development: Comprehensive evidences of having undertaken numerous advanced courses, trainings, and possibly delivered training on child safeguarding/protection at a national or international level.
• Distinguished Contribution: Clear evidence of distinguished contributions to the field, such as groundbreaking research, significant policy reform, national/international advocacy, substantial published works, or sustained impactful leadership.
• References: Three professional references from high-level peers or superiors, including at least one from a relevant academic or policy leader.
6. Honorary Fellow (HF-TICSA)
• Who it's for: Individuals who, regardless of specific academic qualifications, have demonstrated exceptional and sustained dedication to the cause of child safeguarding.
• Requirements:
• Contribution: Must show compelling evidence of having made significant, practical contributions to issues relating to child safeguarding concerns, advocacy, or service delivery for a minimum of ten (10) years and above. This contribution must have had a tangible positive impact on children's safety and well-being.
• Nomination: Typically by nomination and approval by the TICSAN Board.
7. Honorary Doctoral Fellow (HDR-TICSA)
• Who it's for: Highly distinguished individuals, who, without necessarily holding a PhD, have made profound, long-term, and transformative contributions to child safeguarding, often at a national or international level.
• Requirements:
• Contribution: Must show compelling evidence of having made extraordinary, sustained, and impactful contributions to issues relating to child safeguarding concerns, advocacy, policy development, or innovative service delivery for a minimum of twenty (20) years and above. Their work must demonstrate a lasting legacy and significant influence.
• Nomination: Typically by nomination and unanimous approval by the TICSAN Board, recognising exceptional and rare achievement.

1. Associate Membership (ATICSA) ND/NCE/HND/BSC/PGD/MSC with 1-5 years of work experience
2. Full Membership (MTICSA) HND/BSC/PGD/MSC with 6-9 years of relevant work experience
3. Fellow (FTICSA) HND/BSC/PGD/MSC with 10+ of work experience
4. Distinguished Fellow (DF. TICSA) MSC/MED with 22 years and above but below 30 years of experience experience
5. Doctoral Fellow (DR.TICSA) PhD with 10 years+ and above/Masters with 30 years and above of work experience
6. Honorary Fellow (HF. TICSA) 15 years and above of work experience
7. Honorary Doctoral Fellow (HDR-TICSA) 25 years and above of work experience
