ORIGIN CRITERIA

Box 8 (X) (WO)(COWO) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN WHOLLY OBATINED OR WHOLLY PRODUCED

• Goods Wholly Obtained (WO): Goods produced or obtained without any non originating input material incorporated

Box 8 (B) (NOT WO)(CONWO) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN NOT WHOLLY OBATINED OR WHOLLY PRODUCED

• Goods that are produced using non-originating materials, i.e. not Wholly Obtained, are required to undergo substantial transformation in a country for the good to be qualified as originating.

(COOG) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN GENRAL RULE :

• Many trade agreements have a single rule for all goods that are produced using non-originating materials .

(b) products worked upon but not wholly produced in the exporting party: percentage of local value added content.

(ii) Percentage of local value added content: (example "40 per cent).

(ii). change at 4-digit HS plus percentage of local value added content: 4 digit + percentage of local value added content

(iii). change at 6-digit HS plus percentage of local value added content: 6 digit + percentage of local value added content

(COOP) COUNTRY OF ORIGIN PROUDCT SPECIFIC RULE:

• No PSR rule for GSP

ISSUED RETROACTIVELY:

(a) The Certificate of Origin shall be issued by the relevant Issuing Authority of the exporting party at the time of exportation whenever the products to be exported can be considered originating in that Party within the meaning of the India-Thailand Interim Rules of Origin.

(b) In exceptional cases where a Certificate of Origin has not been issued at the time of exportation due to involuntary errors or omissions or other valid causes, the Certificate of Origin may be issued retroactively but no longer than 45 days from the date of shipment, bearing the word "ISSUED RETROACTIVELY"
