Technical Execution & System Architecture
The engineering scope spanned the full spectrum of heavy equipment design, leveraging advanced Onshape multi-part studios and top-down assembly methodologies to resolve geometric and system conflicts before fabrication:
Structural Framework & Powertrain Integration: Designed a rugged main frame and integrated engine mounts from the ground up, optimized to support high static loads and absorb severe dynamic forces during padding operations.
Material Processing & Conveying Systems: Engineered a heavy-duty material handling flow path, precisely configuring the spatial relationships and clearances between the high-capacity intake elevator, the sorting shaker deck, and the final output conveyor system.
Hydraulic & Drive Kinetics: Integrated complex hydraulic actuation routes and energy storage systems alongside heavy chain and sprocket drive mechanisms, maintaining uncompromised clearance profiles.
Fabrication-Ready Design Delivery: Structured all CAD models, structural interfaces, and sub-assemblies specifically for streamlined shop-floor manufacturing, drastically reducing the margin for alignment and fitment errors during the upcoming build.
Project Status & Outcome
The digital engineering phase successfully resolved the complex cross-system packaging constraints inherent in heavy-duty tracked machinery. By bridging structural durability with precise mechanical routing, the platform is fully optimized, verified in CAD, and actively progressing toward workshop fabrication.
