The prime directive of The Hive is that members always play an enjoyable round. We believe there is no higher purpose in golf.
Camaraderie – The friendship and bond we share over our love for the game of golf is a cornerstone of The Hive. It lead to our founding, and will sustain our club.
Competition – We seek to foster an environment of fair competition among golfers of all skill levels. We constantly push each other to be better, and enjoy the chase for victory.
Enjoyment – Providing an enjoyable golf experience for our members is paramount.
Integrity – We are honest with ourselves, and with each other.
Andy has been playing golf since he was 12 years old, and while he hits from the “wrong side” of the ball, has found varying levels of success on the course. Fortunate enough to have 2 holes-in-one, he regularly shares tips with his golfing buddies to aim for the hole on par 3’s. With 2 young kids at home, Andy enjoys every chance he gets to tee it up with friends and compete in Hive events.
Dom, the not-so-large at-large board member, picked up golf at age 14 to avoid any spring sport that involves running. His high school golf coach told him, "90% of your friends playing sports will stop playing competitively after high school. 99% will stop after college. You're playing a game you can play and get better for decades." She was right! Dom has developed a love for golf course architecture in recent years and is a willing short game coach for anyone who wants to put in the work.
Jeff has been playing golf since his father taught him to play as a child. He took a ten-year hiatus from the game during college and his early professional life and is trying to make up for lost time. He's always looking for new golf experiences and is on a (very long-term) mission to play the Top 100 Public Access Courses in America.
John picked up golf as a kid so he could drive the buggy. He played competitively throughout high school and college. Nowadays he enjoys golf for the camaraderie, friendly banter, and low-stakes competition. John insists golf is best enjoyed walking. His latest infatuation is all things hickory golf.
