My name is Simon Chinnery, 18 years old. I was born in Vicchio, a little village in Tuscany, Italy. I grew up a trilingual, my father being originally from London, England and my mother from a little town in North-East Germany called Zerbst. I spent a great deal of my childhood exploring the Italian countryside so as a result I love nature and all the interesting photographic subjects it has to offer. Having my family spread out over Europe, I've always had plenty of opportunities to travel and broaden my horizons.

My photographic journey started, as with many millennials, with my first smartphone. Fast forward to 2015 and smartphone cameras had become a primary selling point and the reason why I bought an LG G4. With its manual camera app settings it allowed me, for the first time, to properly think about creating the picture I envisaged. This new power, to control photographic results, made me want to take this pastime of mine more and more seriously. Result? The purchase of my first DSLR and the start of a journey of exploration and discovery.
