Dance Practices:
Prior to the 2024 and 2025 events we held a very popular and fun practice evenings to give those who wished an opportunity to learn some of the dances that they were not fully up to speed with, or even had not done before. This was very successful so we will repeat it again this year. The dates are: Tuesdays 9th and 16th December2025 and 6th January 2026. They will be held in Oldmeldrum Town Hall, AB51 0AA, 7.30pm to 9.00pm. To assist your planning , we intend to have a different set of dances each evening and if time permits we may do some requests.
9th December will concentrate on Dashing White Sergeant, Deil Amang the Tailors, Hamilton House & Postie’s Jig. Others if time permits.
16th December will concentrate on Reel of the 51st, The Duke of Perth, Britannia Two Step, Others as required.
6th January will concentrate on Mairi’s Wedding, Pride of Erin Waltz and Eightsome Reel, Others as required.
Cost of these sessions will be the minimum required to cover expenses possibly £2 to £3 per person.
Please let us know how many of you intend to attend each practice. Click Here.
Bad Weather or other Emergency:
National Trust Scotland will cancel the event if their staff cannot safely get to Haddo House. If this happens we will post the information on this web page and email those who have bought tickets. If there is a chance of bad weather, please advise your group to check this website, before travelling to the event.
