Grant Program Guidelines

Projects must directly benefit Downers Grove residents and align with the Grove Foundation’s mission. Funding supports public‑facing programs, materials, and community experiences, with preference given to unique, self‑sustaining, grassroots initiatives. Organizations with their own foundations are generally not eligible, and large agencies must clearly outline the budget for the Downers Grove–specific work.

Required Details for Your Application

Organizations must complete the online application and provide a clear description of their proposed program or project, including organizational background, requested funding, detailed revenue and expenses, current funding sources, and who will benefit. Applicants must also explain how their project serves Downers Grove residents and estimate the percentage of participants who live in the community. 

Grant funds may not be used for operating or overhead costs.
