The Great Space Race!

The Great Space Race is a retro-style arcade game that allows the player to purchase upgrades, shoot alien ships, and try to get as far as they can. The goal of this game is to use your Dark Matter Currency obtained during a run to purchase upgrades so that you can go further the next run. Eventually, you can reach the goal: 5000 light years. Seems like a lot? It is, at least at first. After a few fuel upgrades, you'll be traveling thousands of light years! There are also three different weapon types in the game including the basic laser, auto laser, and the missile minigun. Use them to take out the alien ships and reach the goal. 

Major Capabilities:

The game includes:

• A stage system which increases in difficulty with every one thousand light years traveled. 

• Different Weapons available for purchase with in-game dark matter currency.

• Enemy alien ships to shoot.

• Health bars above both the player and enemy ships.

• Upgradable fuel meter.

• Victory screen to congratulate the player for reaching the goal of 5000 Light Years.
