1. Do I need to register in advance?
No, registration will take place on the day of the event. Please arrive at 9:30 AM at Rotary Park to sign in at the registration table.
2. What does it cost to participate?
Entry is by donation. We accept both monetary donations and non-perishable food items, including canned goods. All proceeds go to support the local food bank.
3. What time does the event start and end?
9:30 AM – Registration opens
10:00 AM – The 2K run begins
11:00 AM – Crafts, bouncy castle, and hot dogs available
1:00 PM – Event concludes
4. Where is the event taking place?
The event will be held at Rotary Park, along the beautiful Okanagan Lake boardwalk.
5. Who can participate in the run?
The event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Whether you walk, jog, or run, everyone is welcome!
6. Is the course accessible for strollers or wheelchairs?
Yes, the route along the boardwalk is flat and accessible, making it suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
7. What if I get lost on the run?
Volunteers and signage will be present along the course to help guide participants and ensure everyone stays on track.
8. What activities are available after the run?
Starting at 11:00 AM, we’ll have:
A bouncy castle
Craft activities
Music and fun throughout the afternoon—maybe even a dance party!
9. What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothes and running shoes, a water bottle, and your donation (either food or cash). Sunscreen is also recommended.
10. Will there be washrooms available?
Yes, public washrooms are available at Rotary Park.
11. What happens if it rains?
The event will go ahead rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
