#50. Those Cheating Balls - (Various episodes)

This is more of a subtle moment, that isn't quite a LOL funny, but in a more subtle way it works.

I mean what are the odds that a duo would act in the exact same way.

I'm talking about how Tennis Ball and Golf Ball are always cheating. It's crazy how many times it comes up for something that is never noticed.

The first time it happens is in episode 2, instead of completing the obstacle course, Tennis Ball and Golf Ball end up taking a side route. Now of course this is not the intended course and that platform came out of nowhere, but still, the point stands. They cheated and took an illegal route.

"We take easy ways"

It happens again in episode 3, although it was not actually mentioned, it does end up being mentioned 21 episodes later when Leafy says;

"In order to pass the test you just need to like tennis balls"

That's right, Tennis Ball was the one who wrote the test, no wonder Golf Ball got a near perfect score, he rigged the test so that she would pass. This worked out so well that GB got a win token out of it. If that is not cheating, then I don't know what is.

...Cheaters...

Now, it doesn't happen again for a few episodes as they never really get the chance. In episode 4, they go off to do their own thing. In episode 5, they get their ass handed to them by Snowball. in episode 6 they never got the chance. In episode 7 they only have 9 pieces to put. But all of their old habits come back in episode 8. Specifically Golf Ball when she is part of the relay race.

Golf Ball has just finished her part of the race and it was all up to Rocky, now any normal person would obey the rules, but this is Golf Ball, and she goes right ahead to do Rocky's course for him. How does he do that you might ask? Well, she kicks him with the force of a rocket. Rocky starts to come back but at a unbearably slow pace. This angers Golf Ball again and she runs back to kick Rocky back to the start. She cheats twice in the same 30 seconds its honestly hilarious.

The Death Blow.

The last time we get to see TB and GB cheat is in episode 13. Rocky just threw up a red ball and TB wastes no time in taking it from him. This gives Tennis Ball a points advantage over Rocky despite the fact that Rocky was the one who found the ball in the first place. This is also the second time TB and GB directly take advantage of Rocky.

So like I said, this isn't a laugh-out-loud moment on the list, but something so entertaining to notice that this duo specifically cheated a lot to get to the end of the game and both went out without being noticed. But what might have been the best payoff to this is in episode 4, the one time they decide not to cheat, the announcer calls them out. In a brilliant moment of karma their cheating catches up to them.
