#39. The Barf Bag Challenge - (BFDI 15)
Perhaps one of the most entertaining 60 seconds the show has given us. There was no way I wasn't going to include this part in my countdown. Even if it wasn't funny, I would still put this moment somewhere on this list because its just too special to me. Its just too awesome. The pacing the dialogue, the fact that it only takes 60 seconds. Its all awesome! It is also awesome because it features my favorite character of all time. You know who she is.
"Is it me?"
Nope,
"What? That's crazy"
It really isn't.
"Did someone say execution?"
No one said that.
Lets get on track and start guessing contestants who participated in the challenge
No, it has to be a girl
No, it has to be alive
No! It has to exist!
We're going to get to it eventually
Aw come on!
Alright fine! Its Pencil!
Pencil is my favourite character by a mile! She blows every other character out of the water, she is that good.
"Compared to me, you're garbage"
Exactly.
Now we get to come to the scene that I was talking about, its important to know who Pencil is since she steamrolls the challenge.
Lets review what happened to get us here
Okay so the Announcer is beginning the next contest. But there is a twist! Oh my!
"Execution?"
The twist is that you get to pick your contest. Between Gross or boring, or, well Barf Bag and Taco.
The alliance, which is made of all girls and used to include Match. Are now entering the grossest contest in the entire show.
Mad about being replaced
"We haven't replaced her, we've substituted her"
Wow, what a betrayal.
But the one part that makes this even better than it already is. Is that the alliance chose the exact same challenge as two of their greatest enemies.

Meanwhile the beta contestants decide to participate in the Taco contest.

Now that the formalities are out of the way. It becomes aparrent that we have an awesome setup for an awesome showdown.
First of all we have a contest called the "Barf Bag" Challenge, which only your imagination could be able to fill in the gaps. What kind of contest would it be? Any challenge that has to do is bound to be badass. And what do you know? It is! The challenge is to stay on a little floating platform for as long as you can. Doesn't seem so violent, but it sure was. In order for you to understand what is about to go down. Lets review the cast.
Rocky - The Statue
Pencil - Vomit enthusiast/non enthusiast
Bubble - The pathetic
Ice Cube - The Boring
Blocky - The one who's going straight to hell
The challenge has begun and instead of starting the challenge, Pencil has a concern.
"OMG Bubble, is that actually vomit?"
Excuse me, Pencil, but did you not JUST ask to participate in this challenge? Did you not hear the word "Barf Bag" and not expect vomit to be involved somehow? Its literally in the name, its your own fault you got yourself into this.
So we officially have one contestant who is too grossed out and would probably want to take herself out of the game because she is too squemish. But what if I told you that despite her intial squemishness, Pencil literally goes on to Dominate the entire challenge. She becomes responsable for every contestant who falls in and gets eliminated.
Vomit Non Enthusiast
It turns out that the vomit is actually just coloured water. Harmless coloured water. But Rocky doesn't like this decision and decides that he has to do something about. Now what is Rocky's one and only thing he can do? Replace the water wth vomit, of course.
"BUUUUUUUUUULLLLLEHHH"
As you can expect, Pencil is not too happy about this.
"Ewww, This is so gross"
"OMG Rocky why did you have to do that?"
"OMG, Pence Pence, so true!"
Okay, Pencil. Why in the world would you PICK UP THE VOMIT? For reasons that are far beyond my understanding, she chooses to pick up the same vomit she was so afraid of. Going as far as holding a fistful of the stuff. I mean she literally winced away from the fake vomit ten seconds ago, and then goes straight to handling it a few seconds later. What the heck Pencil? Why did you contradict yourself like that? Do you do this all the time?
"I never contradict myself, I have only done it once"
Okay, Pencil. I see you are angry, what are your opinions on yellling?
"I AM TOTALLY AGAINST YELLING! YOU SHOULD NEVER YELL EVER"
"Totally"
That's a little shocking coming from you, Pencil. I was shocked. Weren't you shocked?
Coiny was shocked
Okay, so now we have some real stakes to this story. We have a very pissed off Pencil and Rocky on her hitlist. Rocky's fate has already been sealed. Pencil has all eyes set on absolutely tearing him to shreds.
The first part of Pencil's attack is a lot of verbal intimidaiton.
"Grrrrr"
"Growl"
Okay so now she's done growling and can actually move on. Is her bark worse than ber bite? Nope, its worse... much much worse.
So now Pencil will actually start the challenge. She is now going to set up all the contestants to knock all of her competitors down. We will now have a batallian of 4 combatants. And a series of 4 battles to take place. The first victim to challenge Pencil will be Rocky.
ROUND 1: Pencil vs. Rocky
The battle begins, and how does Pencil approach this? Well she isn't growling like a rabid dog again. Instead she grabs the random nearest bowling ball and throws it toward him.
"RAAAAAAHHH"
KNOCKOUT
And down he goes
"Rocks sink"
"But where did the bowling ball come from?"
"That was mine, Pencil"
Uh oh, Bubble, you have moved up on Pencil's hitlist. But that isn't too much to worry about because Pencil has some bigger fish to fry. Someone is about to challenge Pencil. Its the one and only, the bringer of death and destruction. Its Blocky!
ROUND 2: Pencil vs. Blocky
The second battle is the most legendary, because its not just one sided. This is a battle for the ages. No other firece content will match the likeness of this one. This time its Blocky who takes the first offence. Solely because of a stroke of luck, the bowling ball that destroyed Rocky, casually rolls onto Blocky's platform.
Blocky sees a valuable weapon.
Capable of causing bodily harm
And maybe even death
So Blocky hurls the bowling ball back at Pencil at top speed.
Luckily for Pencil and her alliance. They manage to jump over the bowling ball and save themselves.
JUMP JUMP
Another fun thing to listen to when you watch this scene is the little reactions the alliance gives off as they avoid the bowling ball.
Ice Cube: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Bubble: Oiyyyee
Pencil: Whheeeee
Oh no, Blocky's only practical shot missed Pencil and flew right past her. Now he doesn't have any advantage to compete over her with anymore. The battle just became even again. But there is one more thing Blocky can hope to achieve now. Because throwing the bowling ball at Pencil wasn't the only thing he could do. He could also throw the bowling ball into the wall and punch a hole in hope to cause a break and collapse the barf bag and catch Pencil from behind.
Blocky initiates Plan B

Now there is a leak that is threatening Pencil. And he has to act quickly. So she grabs her pillow that she aparrently just has with her.
Seriously, where is she getting this stuff from?
Its a perfect fit
Now that Pencil's immediate problem is solved, she can redirect all her attention back onto the one who put her in this position in the first place. Blocky doesn't quite know it yet, but he is about to get schooled hard by Pencil. At first he tries to brush it off, but Pencil isn't liking this passive agressiveness, so the immediatley goes right for the kill. Now she doesn't have a bowling ball anymore. So what is she gonna use? The vomit of course! She's already used to handling it, so she picks up another handful of the vomit and lurches it straight towards Blocky.
"I don't contradict myself!"
"VOMIT IS DISGUSTING, I WILL NEVER TOUCH IT"
BULLSEYE
Now Pencil has banished all of her enemies, and can basically slide into home plate. Because her other two competitors are Bubble and Ice Cube. One is weak, pathetic, terrible and challgnes, and super fragile. The other one is Ice Cube. Pencil now can basically walk her way through to the end of the challenge.
ROUND 3: Pencil vs. Bubble
For this duel, Since pencil is clearly going to win, she decides its time to have a little fun and use some psychological warfare.
She gets straight to work, and with a smile on her face. She will befriend and then stab Bubble in the back while smiling.
"Bubble lets make ice cream"
"Cone"
"Ice"
"Flavouring"
"Whipped Cream!"
Okay Pencil! Do you like or dislike vomit? Because you have handled it an awful lot by now. Also this isn't even the lsat time you've handled vomit.
"Aha, you can't get me"
"Raah"
"Hnggg!"
Splat
See, Pencil, you held it again. Listen, we are fine if you are obsessed with vomit, we all saw that time you let Rocky barf over your face.

Keep it between you two, please
Okay have any of you noticed this weird love hate thing between Rocky and Pencil? Seriously, its prevelent for a lot of episodes.
Where was I again? Oh right, Pencil was about to destroy Bubble without her knowing. Using her patented method of psychological warfare, she now can trick Bubble into killing herself. Bubble doesn't know it yet, but this "ice cream" will eventually kill her, its that gross. I mean, its made of vomit and ice cubes.

Bubble feels some instant regret
At this point we all know whats going to happen, Bubble's fate is sealed. She's going to be poisoned and fall off her platform. And that's exactly what happens next, Bubble takes one lick of the toxic vomit and immedatley feels sick. Pencil sits there smiling as Bubble becomes too sick to stand and soon she falls over. Bubble has now been defeated and has fallen into the vomit.

To add insult to injury, Bubble even gets popped on her way down into the vomit.
Now there is only one person left for Pencil to defeat, its the fourth and final duel. Its against Ice Cube.
ROUND 4: Pencil vs. Ice Cube
How will this battle end? Will Ice Cube finally show that she can win in challenges? Will she finally stand up to Pencil and show what she is made of? Will she finally do something on the show?
Nope
Of course not, we are talking about Ice Cube here. This is the same contestant who couldn't even walk across a bridge without someone to latch onto. And in a challenge where she literally has to do nothing, she is already being undone and is part of Pencil's monstrous creation. Pencil does offer some mercy to Icy though as she does give her one chance for safery, in the form of a taste test. That's right, Pencil is about to lick another contestant.

"Compared to everyone, you're garbage"
So now Pencil has effectively destroyed everyone else in the challenge, there is nothing else left for her to do but win. She slayed the entire competition and remained the QUEEN OF THE BAG.
"Please don't call me that"
Now there is one more detail I forgot to tell you, remember that pillow Pencil used to stop the leak? Well it is going to be her entire undoing. As the pillow was the only thing to stop the leak, it will now start it back up again. The thing to bring down Pencil will be a pillow.

That's right, Pencil, was taken down by a pillow. How unfortunate is that? She could beat all 4 contestants in a duel, yet she was brought down by her very own pillow. It wasn't even alive.

P.P.P.S. I guess it shouldn't have been such a suprise that Pencil screwed up the stew so badly, considering how poorly she made that ice cream. If Pencil ever opens a resturant, please never ever go there. Unless you are planning to play a cruel trick on your enemies.
P.P.P.P.S. As of today, BFB 27 basically confirmed one of my funny55s articles. How hilarious is that? Leafy was called out for her levels of niceness! I have been waiting for that to happen for ages.
