#33. CAKE AT STAKE - (BFDIA 5a)
I am willing to bet not a lot of people expected this to be on the list, let alone this high. But bear with me, because the BFDIA 5 cake at stake is one of those great sequences in the show. It has just a little bit of everything.
"What? That's crazy!"
"OMG! It is totally like crazy"
"If you were at my level of niceness, it isn't that crazy"
"Shut up, Leafy"
"Did someone say execution?"
"NO"
"Then come on! Lets get to the important stuff already"
Alright, fine, this Cake at Stake was monumental, it was a big. It was the biggest elimination ever, not counting the one two episodes before because it was just a speedrun. This one actually felt worrysome, people were nervous instead of the normal default response they usually have.
But to be honest, nothing else can really match the highs you feel for the show. I will start by saying you will experience a wide range of emotions.
You will be able to:
CHEER... As the Firey Speaker Box cuts Donut up into 18 little pieces!
"That's kind of gross"
"Don't worry, he's been recovered, and returned to the TLC"
"I mean the cake is Gross"
"You should be more thankful for what I give you"
DROOL... As Rocky and you observe the tasty corpse in front of you!
SCOFF... As Golf Ball and Fries grow increasingly more impaitent!
"Hurry up!"
"Yeah yeah! Get to the important stuff already!"
PAN... As the same joke is used twice!
"But I was supposed to get the most likes!"
SNEER... As another joke is used twice!
"Um... can you spin it for me, Book?"
"SURE"
GUFFLAW... At the Firey Speaker Box's obsession with wires!

SMIRK... As Match deadass bitchslaps Tennis Ball to his face!
"Aww, I wanted Rocky to win!"
"He might have gotten his barf baaaaaack"
"Wait, you want Rocky's disgusting barf back?"
"Yeah! It was cute, doncha think?"
WAPOW
COWER... As Puffball comes face to face with the evil Firey Speaker Box!
"What does that mean?"
"You can choose anyone to lose their limbs!"
"Can I give myself limbs?"
"lol no"
"I don't really want to make this decision"
"YOU MUST"
LAUGH... As Puffball chooses to target Pin!
"I'll go for Pin, because she stabbed my speaker box!"
"What? But it was an accident, I-"
"Good choice!"
*pop*
"Ha ha"
"Its almost like having limbs"
REVEL... As Pin gets utterly annihilated by a donut!
BOOM
"I can't catch anything without my precious arms!"
"You'll get used to it"
SMIRK... As Gelatin and the Firey Speaker box have an awkward conversation!
"Gelatin, you only got 105 dislikes"
"That seems like... a lot"
"Well its the fewest out of everybody! So be happy!"
"Do I not look happy to you?"
"No, you look insane"
WINCE... As Ruby gets way too into eating dead people!
"Ruby is also safe!"
*HUFF*
*RIP*
"Hey, Donut's blood tastes pretty good!"
"That's because its cherry filling, not blood"
GAG... As Spongy welts tears the size of paintball bullets!
"Burr hurr hurr"
*Sizzle*
"That was like so disgusting!"
"Spongy better be eliminated, I can't STAND him anymore!"
SIMPER... As Pencil pulls the dumbest hat-trick in existance!
"Am I also safe?"
"... Yes"
"Yayyy"
*snatch*
MARVEL... At Golf Ball and Match come up with some of the worst defending arguments in history!
"Oh like no! Just no! You did not just like say that!"
"Yeah, Epicface! Don't insult the Match!"
"You are no match, for THE MATCH"
"But if I leave, the entire world will plunge into chaos"
"That didn't happen last time"
HOWL... At Golf Ball and Match taking compliments!
"Good job, Sugarboyz"
"Thanks for the compliment..."
"... But my main goal is not to be funny"
GASP... As Golf Ball somehow becomes less disliked than Match!
*Ding*
"Unghh"
"WHAT?"
BOO... As Match and Pencil break the rules and circumvent the elimination!
"Quick, Pence Pence, activate the elimination prevention plan"
"Goodbye, Match, your elimination will be beneficial for our team!"
*fling*
*stretch*
"Yay!"
So there you go, the wide range of emotions you will feel during this Cake at Stake if you pay attention.
Of course, I don't think a lot of people expected this to be on this list at all. Considering how tense the elimination truly was, I certainly wasn't surprised that not many people would agree. But I'm happy you guys stuck by me and saw the episode for what it was; a masterpiece.
Truth be told, when I first watched this episode, I was gripped at the end of my seat. The editing was superb and was so tense.
P.S. I also really liked experimenting with a new format for this article. Don't expect this to become any new normal or anything. I just enjoy experimentation, and tonight, I think it paid off.
P.P.S. Is anyone interested in seeing how Leafy and Match would do in a slapfight? I certainly would.

P.P.P.S. I don't ever want to hear someone say the word "Sugarboyz" again.
P.P.P.P.S. I feel like this Cake at Stake was a shocker for many. It certainly was for me.
When I was a child and first watching that episode, I felt certain that Golf Ball would go home. It seemed like a no brainer! She had just spent the last three episodes bossing everyone around and the very last one killing some fan favourites.
Okay, Pencil wasn't really a fan favourite
And neither was Fries...
It looks like Golf Ball got her execution. Look at how happy she is.
Golf Ball's fate seemed sealed, there was no way that she was getting out unscathed. But then as the votes slowly went up, it came down to Match and Golf Ball.
I remember the event clear as day, I was sitting with some friends eagerly anticipating for Golf Ball to get the boot. We noticed something was off. Match was getting dislikes, in fact, she was getting a lot. To the point that it seemed concerning. The bottom of the screen finally stopped for one of them, and it wasn't Match.
With a margin of 20 votes, Match was the fourth person booted from BFDIA. My jaw dropped to the floor. The realization set in that Match, this great contestant who managed to get to the final 11 with only 4 votes. Someone who was always decently liked and was a part of the legendary allaince... had lost to Golf Ball. Some random contestant who didn't even make the merge!
We all thought we were hallucinating, but in no wasted time, Pencil saved Match from being eliminated just yet. Thankfully, we got a whole extra episode of her before her eventual boot at the cap of the saga.
So that concludes the story of how BFDIA 5a went down for me and my family, it was one hell of a ride, that's for sure.
P.P.P.P.P.S. I don't think I will have a different chance to say this, so I will say that I am very excited that TPOT is finally releasing in one day. You can bet I will be excited and I hope to see how good this episode is going to be!
One thing is for sure, Golf Ball will be in it and ready for more executions to come.
